This position offers a unique opportunity to lead tax compliance, planning, and audit activities within a large, multinational organization in the logistics and transportation industry. The Senior Manager of Tax will play a key role in managing domestic and international tax operations, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance with tax laws.

Position Overview for the Senior Manager of Tax:

  • Manage and own income tax compliance related to domestic and foreign operations, including preparing returns and estimated payments
  • Oversee quarterly and annual accounting for income taxes, including effective tax rate determination and ASC 740 disclosures in accordance with US GAAP
  • Lead responses to income tax audits and monitor tax team’s SOX compliance and internal audit requests
  • Monitor tax developments, assess impacts, and communicate tax change opportunities to management
  • Support tax planning for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and integration post-transaction

Requirements for the Senior Manager of Tax:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of income tax experience in public accounting or a large multinational public company tax department
  • 3+ years in a supervisory/management capacity overseeing at least 3 associates and projects
  • Substantial understanding of GAAP including ASC 740 and ASC 805
  • Knowledge of tax statutes and regulations for domestic and/or international jurisdictions
  • Experience with tax research software and Oracle ERP software is preferred
