Oracle HCM Payroll Functional Consultant
Location: Hanover, MD Schedule: HybridIDR is seeking an Oracle HCM Payroll Functional Consultant to join a collaborative team supporting enterprise-wide Oracle Cloud HCM implementations. This is a key role in enabling accurate payroll configuration, compliance, and optimization for large-scale HR systems. Ideal for a functional expert with hands-on experience in Oracle HCM Payroll and a strong understanding of end-to-end HR and payroll processes.
Position Overview / Responsibilities:
Lead the functional configuration and support of Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll modules
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into system configurations
Perform payroll processing tests, validation, and reconciliation across multiple scenarios
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues, errors, or discrepancies
Support integrations between Oracle HCM and third-party payroll/tax systems
Document functional designs, test scripts, and training materials
Provide go-live and post-implementation support to business users
Required Skills:
7+ years of functional experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, including Payroll module
Proven expertise in configuring and supporting payroll solutions in Oracle Cloud
Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll regulatory requirements and best practices
Experience in full lifecycle Oracle HCM implementations or upgrades
Familiarity with Core HR, Time & Labor, and Absence Management modules
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with HR, IT, and payroll teams
Experience in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting multi-state or union payroll environments
Exposure to Oracle Fast Formulas and HDL (HCM Data Loader)
Knowledge of payroll integrations with third-party tax vendors (e.g., ADP, Equifax)
Familiarity with Oracle HCM Reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher)
Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll certification is a plus
