Location: Stony Brook Dermatology Job Duties:
  • Provides support to physicians and other clinical staff.
  • Performs routine clinical and clerical work.
  • Places patients in the examination rooms and documents medications, vitals, and main reason for the visit using EMR.
  • Performs screening and measuring procedures, including but not limited to height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
  • Assists with setting up and preparing the patient and equipment for exams and special procedures as needed.
  • Collects blood or other laboratory specimens as requested by the physician.
  • Performs routine laboratory tests.
  • Enters proposed orders into the EMR for licensed independent provider review and approval.
  • Obtains previous test results from outside labs, radiology, physicians' offices, etc.
  • Explains treatment procedures, medications, diets, and physicians' instructions to the patient in a clear and effective manner.
  • Cleans and sterilizes instruments and disposes of contaminated supplies according to regulations.
  • Maintains an adequate supply of medical inventory in each exam room.
  • Ensures the cleanliness of each exam room.
  • Prepares rooms after each patient and for specific procedures as needed.
  • Orders supplies as needed.
  • Ensures HIPAA and OSHA guidelines are always followed.
  • Performs administrative duties when needed, such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.
  • Creates and updates telephone encounters when reporting and responding to patients' medical concerns and requests, forwarding them to the appropriate staff and medical providers.
  • Adheres to protocol for patient flow:
    • Reception
    • Registration
    • Triage
    • Labs
    • Escort to Provider
  • Adheres to Visit Completion Protocol:
    • Receive encounter and referral forms
    • Schedule next appointments
    • Schedule outside referrals at the appointed time
    • Update visit log
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a high-stress environment.
Schedule: Work shifts are scheduled within the hours of 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM. 1-2 evening shifts per week (ending at 8:00 PM) and 1-2 Saturdays per month are required. Schedules are communicated in advance to support planning and work-life balance.
  • Floating to various sites to assist with coverage gaps will be required - these are not uploaded in the req but they try to keep them within a 30-45 min radius.

A growing healthcare technology organization is seeking an Account Manager - Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) to support a portfolio of pharmacy benefit clients. This role serves as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, ensuring benefit plans are configured accurately, implementations are successful, and ongoing account management needs are met. The ideal candidate thrives in a client-facing environment and has a strong understanding of PBM operations, benefit administration, and claims management. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned PBM clients
  • Coordinate client implementations, go-live activities, and ongoing account support
  • Manage benefit changes, eligibility updates, plan configuration requests, and overrides
  • Review and troubleshoot claims processing issues and client escalations
  • Partner with Operations, Clinical, IT, Product, Finance, and Analytics teams to ensure successful client outcomes
  • Support renewals, open enrollment periods, and plan design changes
  • Conduct testing and quality assurance to validate system configuration and claims adjudication
  • Track deliverables and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of Account Management experience within a PBM environment
  • Experience building and maintaining strong internal and external client relationships
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
