This is a temp-to-hire opportunity located in Westbrook, Maine. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for:Cross-training and working in all areas within materials and warehouse operations
Operating forklifts and pallet jacks as licensed
Performing accurate basic arithmetic and metric-to-standard conversions
Making timely decisions and staying organized in a fast-paced environment
Loading, unloading, packing, and staging materials
Following all safety and PPE requirements including safety boots and protective gear
Working in varying temperature conditions (as low as 32°F and as high as 90°F)
Supporting team members and maintaining a cooperative attitude
Carrying out additional tasks as directed by the warehouse supervisor
A high school diploma or GED (required)
At least 1 year of relevant warehouse or industry experience (preferred)
Ability to be licensed to operate forklifts and pallet jacks
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Dependability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic
Good communication skills and fluency in English (reading and writing)
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand or sit for extended periods

Reviewing instructions, specifications, and parts lists to prepare for work.

The Warehouse Laborer will be responsible for performing frequent heavy lifting while sorting and stacking meat and egg containers. Success in this role includes efficiently sorting and stacking materials while demonstrating reliability and teamwork. After approximately one month, there is an opportunity to train on forklift operation. This is a overnight shift, weekday, temp-to-hire position located in Raymond, NH. Prior warehouse experience is required.
