This position will be working for one of the UK’s leading waste management companies and arguably the leading Energy from Waste (EFW) specialist too.                     Roles & Responsibilities Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for pre-planned and reactive maintenance duties on both mechanical & electrical assets across the plant. Typical duties will include:
  • Carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on the EFW plant which will involve working on steam systems, rotating equipment, cranes, hydraulics & pneumatics, conveyors, electrical systems, motors, variable speed drives, switchgear etc.
  • Performing fault finding & diagnostics on plant & equipment.
  • Conducting routine servicing, plant modifications, installation & commissioning activities when required.
  • Ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) compliance at all times.
  • Supervising contractors which will include Permits to Work & Risk Assessments.
  • Other duties as required.
    Skills & Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:
  • A relevant technical qualification such as an Apprenticeship / NVQ / ONC / HNC / HND in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in a similar Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician role working on industrial mechanical & electrical plant.
  • Experience working in the maintenance team in a heavy process environment such as a power station, marine engineering, refinery, chemical plant or paper mill.
