  • Controlling vehicle movements in the tipping hall area
  • Assisting with loading and unloading operations
  • Operation of mobile plant and machinery in accordance with the company’s procedures
  • Operations of weighbridges when required and completing the necessary tickets associated
  • Carry out first line maintenance activities within the tipping hall area
  • Operating the overhead grab crane via the control room when required
  • Carry out random inspections of waste arriving to site in the tipping hall to ensure compliance with the permit and reporting any none-conformance
This will be a Monday – Friday role working split day shifts (06:30 – 15:00 / 10:30 – 19:00) with working an early Saturday shift 1 in 7 weeks.     Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:  
  • An engineering qualification will be advantageous, but not a necessity
  • Possessing mobile plant tickets will be highly advantageous

Assistant Operations Manager

The plant process c.130,000 tons of biomass per annum which exports just over 7MW of electricity to the grid, enough to power 9,000 homes. The vital Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation role comes with a salary of up to £50,000 + 13% Pension + relocation assistance (if needed) + benefits.     Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:  
  • A time-served apprenticeship with an NVQ Level 3 in electrical/electronic engineering, measurement & control or similar.
  • 17th / 18th Edition will be advantageous but not a necessity
    Personal skills, prior experience, and knowledge The Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation role would suit someone who has:
  • Excellent technical knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, Instrumentation, and some electrical experience
  • Prior experience gained in a heavy process environment e.g. power station, chemical plant, refinery, steel works etc
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)
  • Experience with instrument loop drawing and P&IDs

  • Hands on maintenance experience with Controls and Instrumentation equipment such as PLC/DCS systems, flow sensors, thermocouples, pressure sensors, continuous monitoring emissions systems (CEMS), etc
  • Practical knowledge of process plant and equipment gained in a heavy engineering environment such as power generation, petrochemical, steel works, CHP plant, paper mill, FMCG, etc
