Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Astute’s Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company, to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for their Combine Cycle Gast Turbine (CCGT) Power Station in Rochester, Kent. The vital Electrical Maintenance Engineer role comes with a basic salary of £58,100 - £87,100 + a performance related bonus + other excellent benefits.   • The daily planned maintenance of electrical assets across the site which includes power distribution systems, HV/LV motors, actuators, switchgear (up to 400kV), generators, etc.
  • Leading a team of technicians and apprentices, whilst working closely with 3rd party contractors on site.
  • Collaborating closely with the Control & Instrumentation Team and the Mechanical Engineering Team.
  • Have full control of the electrical maintenance budget
  • Deliver planned maintenance on time and in line with the company standards.
    Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:  
  • Ideally a Degree in a Electrical Engineering discipline however, would consider those with a HND/HNC/NVQ Level 3, etc.
  • A formal Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH is required as a minimum
    Personal skills, prior experience and knowledge The Electrical Maintenance Engineer role would suit someone who has:  
  • Prior Electrical Engineering experience working in heavy process engineering environments such as Power Stations, Paper Mills, Top Tier COMAH sites, Refineries, Petrochemicals, etc.
  • Experience working with High Voltage (HV) systems up to 400kV would be ideal.
  • Experience working with relevant electrical equipment such as motors, generators, switchgears, PLC systems, etc.
  • Demonstrate the ability to successful manage teams
