We are currently looking for aย Site Operative to join one of the leading Waste Management specialists in the UK. Working at their Plastic Recycling Facility in Avonmouth, theย Site Operative will be responsible for supporting withย the operating, inspecting and maintenance of static and mobile plant on-site. You will be carrying out duties related toย the movement, loading and unloading of Plastic Reyclling Materials as well as supporting with site maintenance and general yard activities.ย 

This role involves working a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern including night shifts, please only apply is this is suitable.

The Role:

Working as a Site Operative, you will be responsible for:

  • Picking, cleaning and supporting site based duties
  • Operating, Inspecting and Maintaining Forklift and Telehandler plant on-site.
  • Carrying out activities to move, sort and segregate waste materials at the waste recycling facility.
  • Loading and unloading of materials for transport to and from the site.
  • Occasional cover at other waste facilities as required.

The Candidate

To be considered you should have experience in the below:

  • Operation of a Forklift in a previous position.
  • Valid plant operation tickets or in-house training is preferred.

Working as the MBT Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of a busy waste processing facility. This will include:

  • Day to day management of the MRF and the MBT process, managing a team of operators, chargehands and cleaners across the site. This will cover a wet prep area, AD facility and recycling plant.
  • Leading the team across the site to ensure operations run in line with production targets and company set KPIโ€™s, maximising the efficiency of the plant.
