About the role

 

The Execution Engineer will be part of our multi-disciplinary maintenance team and will play an integral role in the delivery of the maintenance strategy at our Avonmouth Polymer Reprocessing Facility. The primary purpose of this role is the effective execution of breakdown and corrective maintenance work, as well as supporting the root cause analysis process to implement preventive actions to improve overall plant availability.

 

Working collaboratively with EC&I engineer, Mechanical Engineer and the Maintenance Planner, the Execution Engineer will lead the site multi-functional maintenance team to execute planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure machine condition, availability and standards are maintained.

 

The Execution Engineer will provide technical support/governance to ensure improvement projects are executed to the correct standards and in line with site plan, as well as owning the statutory inspections.

   5. Maintain contacts with Consultants, Clients, and other bodies as appropriate to represent HOCHTIEF demonstrating our ability to provide best value.

 

1. 1. Assist with the recruitment of engineers, at all levels, for their sector, including interviewing and identifying potential recruits from competitor companies.
   2. Assist with the training and development of engineers’ in the sector at all levels including the attainment of professional qualifications. Specifically take ownership of the HOCHTIEF engineering competencies and embed within their sectors.
   3. Assist with the movement of engineering staff between projects and tenders noting that there will be many transfers of engineers between sectors to ensure appropriate development and experience.
   4. Build the profile of the HOCHTIEF in schools, universities, consultants and other external organisations.
   5. Carry out duties for collaborative working in line with the HOCHTIEF UK Procedure for Collaborative Working and the JRMP (Joint Relationship Management Plan)  
2. Key Safety Responsibilities

3. Required Project knowledge
   1. Must be a Chartered Engineer or similar approved by the Head of Technical Services
   2. Will have both substantial construction and design experience.
   3. Ability to deputise for the Project Manager if required.
