EIC Site Supervisor

  • Take ownership of EIC site activities across electrical, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Act as the key on-site interface between contractors, site management, and engineering teams
  • Support installation, testing, and commissioning to meet programme milestones
  • Drive safe, efficient execution aligned to project timelines and quality standards
  • Provide practical, on-the-ground leadership to ensure work is delivered right first time
  • Lead and enforce HSEQ standards, ensuring all works are carried out in line with approved RAMS

Project Support Coordinator

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a successful and leading Civil contractor to recruit a Project Support Coordinator for its Cheshire site. The Project Support Coordinator role is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract (FTC) basis and comes with a salary of £28,000 starting in August 2026.                 Responsibilities and duties  
  • Management and approval of timesheets to provide weekly Payroll submission utilising Chime.
  • Submission of PAYE new starter information to Human Resources to comply with legal, health & safety requirements and data protection.
  • Tracking and reporting starters, leavers, operative transfers & annual leave ensuring all relevant departments are fully updated.
  • Processing of hires, off hires, purchases, operated hire, repairs and exchanges in supporting the project’s needs using COINS and Autodesk software.
  • Raising material requisitions on COINS as and when required by the site team, receipting of goods delivered via COINS & updating Autodesk.
  • Actioning weekly unmatched invoice reports and managing all delivery queries.
  • Maintaining stationery levels and ordering consumables through COINS and Construction Marketplace.
  • Ad-hoc administration duties for the Project Team such as but not limited to bookings for accommodation, travel, arranging meetings and catering for events.
  • Candidates must come from a construction background or have worked in a construction environment before.
  • If not local, must be able to drive and get to site efficiently each day.
  • Payroll experience is advantageous however training will be provided.

Shift Team Leader

  • Install thermal and acoustic insulation on pipework, ducting, and vessels to specification
  • Measure, cut, and apply insulation materials
  • Fabricate and fit sheet metal cladding
  • Use abrasive wheels and power tools safely to cut and shape cladding materials
  • Work at height using appropriate access equipment in accordance with safety standards
  •  Adhere strictly to health & safety protocols, including proper use of PPE
  • Collaborate with site teams to meet deadlines and maintain project efficiency
  • Ensure all work complies with industry standards and site specifications

Nightshift HSE Advisor

Astute’s Power team are looking to recruit a Nightshift HSE Advisor on an Energy from Waste Project in North London on a 12-month contract.             Key skills
  •  Perform the Audit protocol and scheduled required by Law.
  • Be a QHSE ambassador and coach, support and train project staff on positive HSE actions, behaviours and compliance.
  • Manage the compliance of the HSE requirements on field.
  • Review the Risk Assessments included in the Method Statements of the subcontractors.
  • Assist the Project and Construction Managers in HSE matters.
  • Manage HSE training needs with the HSE Manager.
  • Controlling site HSE systems and have regular discussions on site about HSE performance with Site Managers and Contract Managers.
  • Conduct regular assessments of construction sites and inform site management of unsafe practices and unsafe conditions.
  • Must hold a NEBOSH and have experience within the Energy from Waste sector.

  • Ensure that all relevant HSEQ requirements are incorporated into area of responsibility and that, in consultation with site management, HSE and commissioning team, HSE hazards are eliminated or mitigated to the extent practicable
  • Prepare and issue permits to Work and system isolations for works within the shift
  • Ensure that works within area of responsibility are executed in accordance with the contract and conform with project time requirements
  • Independently operate, monitor, and maintain systems according to the scope of responsibility, in the control room and on site
  • Update and maintain shift logs and maintenance regimes
  • Overseeing the work performed by shift personnel and suppliers during operation
  • Liaise and coordinate with other project team members, in particular the Commissioning Manager and Commissioning Lead Engineers
  • Records all operational events in the shift logbook
