We are currently recruiting a Slinger/Signaller to support safe lifting operations for gantry crane installation and maintenance. You will work in a highly regulated and safety-critical environment, ensuring that all lifting activities comply with the lift plan, BS 7121 standards, and site safety rules. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in slinging, signalling, and controlling heavy lifts, preferably within nuclear or major infrastructure projects. The role offers a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and the chance to play a key role in one of the UK’s flagship infrastructure developments.                     Responsibilities and duties: Reporting to the Black Hat Supervisor, you will:
  • Select, inspect, and prepare lifting accessories in accordance with certification and the lift plan.

  • Communicate clearly with crane operators via radio and hand signals.
  • Maintain exclusion zones and ensure lifting operations are carried out safely.
  • Follow RAMS, lifting plans, and site permit systems.

As such, they are looking for a strong and experienced Operations Team Leader to join their Operations team at their Waste site in Bargeddie.                         Roles & Responsibilities As the Operations Team Leader, you will be responsible for:  
  • Supporting the process operators within the plant, effectively operating the SCADA systems effectively for all fixed plant across the site.
  • Ensuring the site is running in line with production plans and KPI’s, prioritising task and escalating any issues as required.
  • Coordinate a shift of process operators, managing work-load to cover the plant and utilising resources where required.
  • Support the Operations Production Supervisor to manage daily checks, team performance and absence, leading attending meetings when needed.
  • Promote excellent health and safety practice, ensuring the team are working to safety procedures and in line with company expectations.

Introduction

We are currently looking for a Level 3 Site Operative to join one of the leading Waste Management specialists in the UK. Working at their Plastic Recycling Facility in Avonmouth, the Site Operative will be responsible for supporting with the operating, inspecting and maintenance of static and mobile plant on-site.

This role involves working a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern including night shifts, please only apply is this is suitable.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Level 3 Site Operative, you will be responsible for:

  • Operation of multiple machines involved in the recycling of plastics, mainly Extruders
  • Cleaning and performing basic maintenance tasks on machinery
  • Undertaking basic fault finding on machinery
  • Occasional cover at other waste facilities as required.
 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Previous experience of operating mobile plant
  • Demonstrable experience working in a production environment (ideally recycling)
  • Experience operating an Extruder (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of health and safety

As an experienced Vehicle Technician, you will be tasked with the upkeep of a fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are reliable and can be called upon when needed.

 

The Job

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for.
  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide fleet of vehicles – Ford, BMW, Vauxhall, Ford, and Mercedes Benz Sprinter vans
  • Diagnosing faults and error codes.
  • Complete MOT’s checks, and services
  • Be able to perform complete engine strip downs and fault find any problems
  • Conducting maintenance / service work as per the maintenance schedule.

The candidate

Candidates will have the following skills and experience.
  • Hold Master Technician qualifications or senior technician level
  • C&G 1 & 2 in Motor Vehicle Studies or equivalent NVQ Levels 3.
  • Manufacturer training through Ford, Vauxhall or BMW is preferable
  • Be able to perform in depth fault finding and diagnostics
  • Experience working with new vehicles over the last three years.
  • Hybrid vehicle experience desirable
