Introduction…

We are looking for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join a company in Somerset that supports the operation and building of nuclear power plants. You will be accountable to a nominated Commissioning Manager/Engineer in the Nuclear New Build Project Team.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Working across all electrical disciplines and will be aligned to either HV, LV, DC or generator systems
  • Develop commissioning documentation relating to commissioning testing and system validation activities
  • Contribute to design reviews to ensure layout of plant items and systems are in a manner that allows ease of commissioning
  • Contribute to detailed planning of commissioning and take ownership of a programme of commissioning tests
  • Supervision of contractor commissioning personnel to achieve successful and safe commissioning of the systems
  • Provide information to assist the Commissioning Manager and Senior Commissioning Manager in meeting project-level objectives and milestones
  • Analyse commissioning results and provide reports summarising the outcome of commissioning
  • Provide support to ensure that the commissioning process meets nuclear, environmental and industrial safety regulatory requirements and that it reflects good industry practice in international safety and technical excellence

The Job

Demonstrable experience communicating and coordinating with people at all levels of an organisation is also desired as this role will require working with customers, clients and internal personnel.
