We are looking for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join a company in Somerset that supports the operation and building of nuclear power plants. You will be accountable to a nominated Commissioning Manager/Engineer in the Nuclear New Build Project Team.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Working across all electrical disciplines and will be aligned to either HV, LV, DC or generator systems
  • Develop commissioning documentation relating to commissioning testing and system validation activities
  • Contribute to design reviews to ensure layout of plant items and systems are in a manner that allows ease of commissioning

We are currently recruiting for an industry leading global defence sector client with a proud history of supporting our Armed Forces to find a supply chain specialist focusing on a variety of contracts supplying fleet management services to MoD and Govt assets.

The Job

The purpose of this role will be to hold responsibility for Procurement activity, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Risk Management and Operational Service Delivery for their allocated category/supplier portfolio, ensuring delivery of our Client’s contractual performance obligations to their customer; the UK Ministry of Defence.

This portfolio will consist of a combination of services/supply sub-categories including; Vehicle Leasing/Fleet Replacement Programme, Vehicle Hire, Quoted Rental, Automotive Consumables and/or Vehicle Servicing, Maintenance, Repair & Inspection (SMRI) supporting the two main contracts within Fleet & Information; Phoenix II (Fleet Management) and Contract Hire (Specialist Vehicle Leasing and Maintenance).

Typical duties would include:

  • Leading procurement/contract renewal activity for your specific sub-category in accordance with processes, procedures and delegated authority. Including management and administration of procedures such as Request for Information (RFIs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs) and resulting Contract negotiations and renegotiations (supported by Commercial and Legal as appropriate).
  • Acting as agent for the UK MOD, ensuring procurement activity is undertaken in full compliance with UK Public Sector Procurement Legislation and/or Crown Commercial Service Framework guidance (as applicable).
  • Ensuring appropriate flow down of head contract requirements and obligations through to the supply chain
  • Development of Category / Supply strategies that consider customer requirements and pertinent external market factors.
  • Development of Supplier Relationship Management plans for respective suppliers to generate value delivery and to identify, manage and mitigate risk.
  • Proactively manage supplier underperformance in accordance with contract SLA’s and KPI’s to ensure delivery of service to our operational teams and end customer.
  • Act as focal point for overall supplier account management and operational escalation. Facilitation of improvement activities and projects as appropriate through close working with operational colleagues
  • Internal and external reporting, ensuring all stakeholders are informed as appropriate.
  • Conducting supplier due diligence, ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements.
  • Align processes and activity across the business to ensure clear roles, responsibilities, boundaries, ownership and accountability. Supporting operational process standardisation across the supplier base and deliver in line with the Quality Management System and Plan.

The Candidate

With demonstrable experience in engineering supply chain management you will have clear competence in the following areas:
  • Evidence of previously working in an end to end procurement role, leading tenders, negotiations, implementing new contracts and extracting value over the life of the agreement.
  • Evidence of managing supplier performance against contract SLA’s and KPI’s periodically and delivering improvements
  • Experience of acting as a focal point for relations with third party suppliers through Account Management or Supplier Relationship Management background.
  • A willingness to collaborate across teams and varying levels of seniority to overcome supply chain operational performance issues
  • Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) or working towards.

And experience in the following areas will be a distinct advantage:

  • Understanding of Vehicle Hire, Vehicle Leasing categories and/or wider automotive/fleet industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the MOD and the motor transport requirements of the numerous armed forces.
  • Undertaken procurements or contracting via Crown Commercial Service Framework Further Competitions

Working as their Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out key planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across the recycling facility on a wide variety of heavy plant and equipment.

 

What you will be doing

As the Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across heavy industrial plant
  • Mechanical fault-finding and route cause analysis techniques
  • Working across all processing plant
  • Maintenance on wash plant,sorting equipment, motors, conveyors and other manufacturing based equipment.
  • Minimising downtime, ensuring plant runs at optimum performance

My Responsibilities…

 

As Director of Operations, you will play a key role in spearheading operational services at Turnbull. You will have the responsibility to lead and control operational services for Turnbull, identifying and developing opportunities alongside the running of day-to-day delivery of contractual requirements.
