QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications:
HS Diploma or GED; or equivalent direct experience required
3+ months Machine Operator experience required
Experience in press operation strongly preferred
Proficiency in programming and operating press machines preferred
1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred
Intermediate basic math skills.
Must have the ability to navigate the computer programs utilized on the production floor.
Skills/Aptitudes:
Must be able to document and present information on production
Must have the ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and all levels of management
Must work on a regular and predictable basis in an alert & safe manner.
Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Ability to work well as a team to ensure production goals are met.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and job jackets.
Exhibits data accuracy with data entry, good visual acuity.
Ability to speak effectively and present information one-on-one to optimize timely and correct changeovers.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle orders, and press-room equipment and tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear; and ability to handle physical workload on average 30lbs – 50lbs.

The Machine Operator position in Salisbury, North Carolina is responsible for operating production equipment in a safe manner, while producing quality parts. You will have a solid understanding of quality assurance. Successful candidates will have strong basic math skills and strong attention to detail. This is a full time position.
Machine Operator Qualifications:

Shift: Mon-Fri 5:30am - 2:00pm (training) 4:45am - 1:15pm (normal schedule)
Pay: $18.50/hr
POSITION PURPOSE:
This Fill Line Operator is responsible for the operation of all fill lines, maintenance of equipment, and meeting safety, housekeeping, and efficiency standards. Responsibilities will specifically be focused on following Standard Operating Procedures while operating fill lines for waterborne and solvent-borne finishes, sealers, stains, maintenance products, and more. The Fill Line Operator will demonstrate strong attention to detail and time management and will also contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma and/or equivalent work experience
Basic math skills for calculating percentages, dilutions, ratios, averages, etc.
Must possess troubleshooting skills that can be utilized in the daily work
Preventative maintenance experience of pumps and machinery is a plus
Forklift experience is desirable
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and be able to repetitively sit and squat throughout the day
JOB DUTIES:
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operating all fill lines for waterborne and solvent-borne finishes, sealers, stains, maintenance products, etc.
Assist in the development of SOPs for new products and procedural improvements.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, as directed by preventative maintenance software.
Maintain rework warehouse, rework product as directed by the Quality Control Department.
Keep the production work area clean and adhere to the 5’S Housekeeping Standards (clean up spills immediately, throw refuse in appropriate cans, etc.).
Adhere to and strive to exceed operating efficiency standards.
Follow all safety guidelines established by the company.
Assist in other areas as directed.
Develop mutually beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments, maximize synergy, and maintain a shared vision, strategy, and focus.

POSITION PURPOSE:The Chemical Operator will assist with chemical operations and production in the operations plant. This individual will make bulk batches of products and oversee the equipment necessary to run a successful chemical manufacturing operation, while improving plant quality, efficiency, and safety. This individual will coordinate and take direction from the Production Supervisor to control plant machinery, perform tests, and improve chemical machinery operation. The Chemical Operator will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and time management and will also contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma and/or equivalent work experience
Must possess basic math skills for calculating percentages, dilutions, ratios, averages, etc.
Must possess troubleshooting skills that can be utilized in daily work.
Preventative maintenance experience of machinery is desirable

JOB DUTIES:
Work in a hands-on capacity with staff on chemical manufacturing equipment and serve as a back-up resource during times of short staffing.
Follow SOPs for computer controlled automatic batch building and manual batch building.
Assist in the production of waterborne and solvent borne finishes, sealers, stains, and maintenance products.
Identify and correct equipment problems by performing standard trouble-shooting techniques; perform scheduled maintenance using hand, power and specialty tools as necessary.
Maintain raw material levels (totes & dispersion tanks).
Use floor scales and bench scales to weigh out raw materials.
Operate forklifts to move pallets and totes to/from designated areas.
Enter raw material amounts and rework amounts for batches into the inventory system.
Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, valves, mixers, and tanks as directed by the Production Supervisor or machine software/manuals.
Contribute to the development and continual improvement of the SHEQ Management System(s).
Able and willing to work necessary hours to meet all project deadlines, travel when necessary.
