  • The Technical Quality Coordination Leader in the Mission Assembly Quality Group will lead quality activity for a Mission assembly line.

  • Manage, set direction, and assist the line’s technical staff, quality production staff & quality torque check route team for quality reactive and proactive activity.
  • Support the analysis steps, data collection, summarization and presentation of any responsible activity.
  • Make decisions based on this data.
  • Reactive customer plant defects, engine pulls at the customer plants, daily direct pass thru-put investigation and countermeasure activity are primary areas of support and responsibilities of their team to complete based on the timing guidelines.
  • Oversee the management and tracking of the database / spreadsheets used by the team to guarantee accurate data compiled for the weekly / monthly progress reports.
  • Roll up and present quality activities at monthly, quarterly and year-end progress report timings up to Plant Mgmt. level.
  • Lead the daily communication activity for your line in regard to reactive, then drive proactive activity, at the Quality Group morning meetings.
  • Lead and coordinate proactive business planning & action, basic quality improvement themes, capacity, line characteristic, shutdown stability, new model, process change approval & Global Automated Line Control (GALC)
Job Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in automotive manufacturing technology field or equivalent relevant experience.

  • The Design and Release Engineer (DRE) Driveline & Axle Product Release Center acts as the owner of assigned driveline & axle components (e.g. Axles, RDM, PTU, T-Case, prop shaft, half shaft, brackets, etc.).
  • Executes product design, analysis, release and testing per technical infrastructure and FCA PCPC (the how).
  • Responsible for the complete design and product delivery against technical requirements for the assigned components and products.

  • Collaborates appropriate design detailing and CAE activities
  • Ensures transfer functions and physics-based analysis are defined and documented for all actuation subsystems and components.
  • Delivers EBOM, models, drawings for components, subassemblies, and purchased assemblies
  • Generates engineering documentation in support of change management, including DRBFM
  • Delivers parts / hardware to pilot builds, including requisitions for prototypes and ED&D.
  • Collaborates with transmission and driveline systems subject matter experts, ACEs, DSEs, AEs, and other stakeholders to address and support any failures using the appropriate tools and processes.
  • Prepares status reports and presentations for management and CE organization
  • Supports manufacturing on production-related issues
  • Generates cost reduction ideas and develops and executes corresponding design and validation plans.
  • Participate in warranty/cost reduction meetings and develops solutions for warranty issues
