Job Responsibilities Location: North Kansas City, MO Shift: B Crew- 5:30pm-4:00am, Tuesday-Friday          Your specific duties as a Controls Engineer will include:    
  • Analyze and calculate machine performance and requirements utilizing the PLC.
  • Responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation and tracking of assigned projects.
  • Develop and track capital investment budgets for assigned projects.
  • Main interface with automation and capital equipment vendors for control solutions.
  • Provide controls guidance in equipment selection, overall operations and future expansion.
  • Integrating and networking PC's and PLC's (TCP/IP, EthernetIP)
  • Provide support for Controls related issues, as required, to prevent or minimize production downtime.
  • Drive lean concepts (5S, OEE, Kanban, Visual Factory, TPM etc.) throughout the organization.
  • Implement process improvements to improve overall efficiencies, including automation.
  • Collaborate on all controls related communication internally and externally, including technical presentation, design reviews, capacity analysis, and feasibility studies.
  • Supports Purchasing in evaluation of new suppliers, products and technologies to help maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
  • Provide guidance to Maintenance Technicians helping develop skillsets and strengthen the team.

Job Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Controls Engineer or Maintenance Technician.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Engineering, Programming
  • 2-4 years of experience in PLC programming (Allen Bradley Micro Logic, SLC 500's, ControlLogix 5000 processors) for Manual Assembly Cells, Automated Assembly Cells and Power & Free conveyor systems.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years programming of Vision Systems (Cognex, DVT, Keyence)
  • 2-4 years of experience HMI programming (AB PanelView and PanelView Plus)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in JIT, SPD, ILVS and Batch manufacturing systems. Including broadcast analysis from customer trigger through customer installation.
  • 2 years of experience with Manual and Automated Assembly Systems and Technologies, including both mechanical and control systems.
Starting annual salary of $95,000 to $105,000 depending on education, skills, experience and level of experience. Additional compensation provided in straight time after 45 hours worked/week. Hourly pay range $ 34 Job Responsibilities                                               Your specific duties as a Buyer will include:         
  • Min of 5 yr exp with a specific commodity. Preference is around 8-12 yrs exp with any of the commodities.
  • The higher the experience level, the more responsibility (i.e., lower level experience candidate will be primarily asked for review and initial recommendation on processes/tasks, the highest level of experience candidate will be managing the entire scope of a commodity)
  • A VERY high demanding & high performing team, need individuals who are self-starters, able to hit the ground running asap. SAP and excel (think pivots/vlookups/macros etc) MANDATORY (will train on any homegrown systems).
  • Background in procurement, supply chain, purchasing mandatory (at a global level highly preferred).
  • Individuals will manage all tasks/work up to contract signature (this will be done by manager), will not be dealing with cash, will process/work with large quantities and lots of $$.
  • Individuals must be able to read and understand blueprints and specifications, have logistical knowledge, be able to perform a tech review/quality of product, understand how to navigate for information (most of that being web based).
  • Activities individuals will perform as part of their job duties: analysis (data science, data analytics), resourcing actions, supplier negotiations, surcharge management, reporting, payment resolutions, WMF (waste minimization fund) mitigations, market test and tech reviews.
  • Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs
  • Collaborate with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations and develop supply recommendations
  • Ensure suppliers can meet forecasted demand
  • May coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing/engineering costs and establish cost for new products
  • May participate in design and/or technical reviews
  • May select, recommend and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service. Job Requirements
