Duties and Responsibilities for Sanitation Worker

• Ensure all food production and packaging equipment and facilities are cleaned per a Master Schedule and company procedures
• Clean all machines thoroughly as per the strict standard operating procedures. This requires the disassembly, reassembly, cleaning, and sanitizing of equipment.
• HACCP – Environmental swabbing and testing (ATP, Salmonella, Listeria), Brittle Plastic/Broken glass inspections, eliminate organic and chemical residue form product contact surfaces, and monitor bullet magnets.
• Follow all safety procedures and policies and report any unsafe or unsanitary conditions immediately to supervisor on duty.
• Adhere to Good Housekeeping Practices
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and individual personal hygiene practices at all times.
• Maintain daily reports and records as assigned
• Train and Certify employees as assigned.
• Complete all other tasks/duties as assigned by Supervisor
• Responsible for supporting and maintaining Food Safety and Quality programs

Duties and Responsibilities for Production Associate

• Communicate with operators, leads and supervisors on what type of product will be produced
• Push boxes through taping machine ensuring there is a print on carton for traceability, and master case is being printed and taped shut during process
• Package and palletize finished product at the speed the line equipment is running
• Ensure food safety and quality through visual inspection of the finished product for proper seal of wrapper
• Follow color code regarding totes, ice cream, nondairy, soy, etc., as products have specific colors codes to prevent cross contamination
• Remove empty wrap and cartons off the line and dispose of them properly
• Monitor the equipment and inform the carton machine operator when cartons are jammed or being shaped incorrectly
• Production Associate will visually inspect product for deficiencies

Skills and Qualifications for Production Associate

• Must be able the ability to read and interpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures
• A mechanical aptitude, basic math skills and attention to detail are also required

Duties and Responsibilities for Food Production Worker:

• Work on various, small scale production lines for different, organic food products 
  • Sometimes Working on, Operating or Bagging on the Chip and Tortilla line
  • Sometimes Lifting and Dumping 50 lb bags of product into the mixing machine
  • Sometimes working on the faster paced, Salsa and Dip line etc.
• May assist with the making of Cardboard boxes and packaging for outbound shipment 
• May sometimes operate an electric pallet jack or sit-down Forklift (would be trained first) to assist in loading the product pallets onto trucks for outbound shipment
• General Clean-Up of the Line / Work Space.

Skills and Qualifications for Food Production Worker:

• Must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude and be a team-player who wants to learn and help out wherever needed
  • There will be cross training in various departments, with thorough training provided
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a larger team 
• Must be able to follow GMPs and Food Safety Regulations 
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed throughout the day.
  • Not repetitive lifting, but some short bursts of repetition may be required.
• Must be comfortable and able to bend, stoop, twist and lift in a safety conscious manner and be able to be on your feet on a hard floor surface for the duration of a full 8 hour shift.
• Someone who is willing and wanting to be Forklift Trained to assist in loading outbound trucks would be ideal (or has previous forklift exp.)

Duties and Responsibilities for Food Production Lab Technician

• Create lab prototypes from product development concepts including but not limited to sourcing of new raw materials, packaging materials and research into new product/process/packaging technologies
• Assist in sensory evaluation of raw materials and finished goods
• Responsible for organizing and maintaining the R&D lab, storage areas and the shelf-life study room
• Assist in creating and conducting production test plans and approving new products and designs with regards to those tests
• Conduct stability tests for all new products and packaging confirming shelf life.  Conducts research as required to extend shelf life of new or existing products or test new materials.  Maintains all shelf life studies and documentation
• Assist in formula and recipe set up for costing
• Provide as required and when directed research ability, analytical testing and advice related to research on new or existing ingredients, packaging, products, production/process engineering and assists in any Quality related projects 
• Responsible for lab upkeep
• Responsible for supporting and maintaining Food Safety and Quality programs

• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or lab environment, performing technician or operator responsibilities, highly preferred (combined experience with education will be considered)
• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution required
