We’re hiring for a seasonal position with a well-known manufacturing company in Independence, OR. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience, stay active, and work in a supportive, team-oriented environment.As a Material Handler, you’ll help keep operations running smoothly by ensuring materials flow efficiently through production. This includes maintaining shakers, performing housekeeping tasks, stacking bags, and assisting as directed by the foreman.
What You’ll Do:Keep materials moving through the shakers and screens
Perform housekeeping duties including scraping, sweeping, and shoveling
Maintain clean and safe walkways and work areas
Inform maintenance staff of equipment issues
Assist with small bag line operations, pallet re-stacking, and cleanup as needed
Meet quality and quantity goals daily
6+ months of production experience preferred (but not required!)
Comfortable working in dusty, hot, cold, or rainy conditions
Able to lift 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally
Willing to climb ladders and stand for long periods
Safety-minded and reliable team player
