As a Material Handler, you’ll help keep operations running smoothly by ensuring materials flow efficiently through production. This includes maintaining shakers, performing housekeeping tasks, stacking bags, and assisting as directed by the foreman.

What You’ll Do:
  • Keep materials moving through the shakers and screens

  • Perform housekeeping duties including scraping, sweeping, and shoveling

  • Maintain clean and safe walkways and work areas

  • Inform maintenance staff of equipment issues

  • Assist with small bag line operations, pallet re-stacking, and cleanup as needed

  • Meet quality and quantity goals daily

What We’re Looking For:
  • 6+ months of production experience preferred (but not required!)

  • Comfortable working in dusty, hot, cold, or rainy conditions

  • Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead.

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes related to inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS).

  • Partner with production and operations teams to understand cost drivers and identify opportunities for efficiency and savings.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in manufacturing cost accounting.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, standard costing, and inventory management.

  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively across departments and work collaboratively with operations and leadership teams.
