As an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator, you’ll play a key role in producing high-quality garments meant to save lives. You’ll collaborate closely with team members to maintain efficient and safe production processes.

What You'll Do

As an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator, you will be responsible for:
  • Constructing assigned items and components accurately by following printed work instructions, integral samples, and verbal instructions.
  • Inspecting in-process materials to ensure proper fit and quality, confirming that all materials are free of flaws.
  • Operating various types of sewing machines, including single, double, and multi-needle, to produce finished garments and products.
  • Performing sewing duties to meet efficiency standards, such as reinforcing seams, hemming, and attaching buttons, hooks, collars, pockets, zippers, and more.
  • Cross-training to operate in multiple areas efficiently and assist in different department operations to facilitate smooth workflows, including labeling and quality control.
  • Demonstrating proficiency over time across multiple machines and product lines.
  • Collaborating with Leads, Management, and the Quality Department to ensure all products meet the highest quality standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace, ensuring tools are returned to their designated spots after use.
  • Regularly inspecting and cleaning equipment while promptly notifying the supervisor of any needed repairs or maintenance.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • No formal sewing experience required! However, at-home project experience is strongly preferred. On-the-job training will be provided!

  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A willingness to learn and the ability to quickly follow instructions.

    • Inspecting completed weldments to ensure quality and specification compliance.
    • Acting as a crane operator and following all crane safety protocols.
    What You’ll Bring

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • 2–5+ years of experience in steel fabrication or welding (or demonstrated intermediate to advanced skill level).
    • Working knowledge of MIG welding.
    • Understanding of welding characteristics and physical properties of various metals.
    • Ability to read and interpret assembly blueprints.
    • Welding or fabrication certification/degree (preferred).
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for most of the shift.
