Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Staff AWS Connect Developer:
  • Design and implement AWS Connect contact flows, including IVR menus, call routing, and backend integrations.

  • Configure AWS Connect instances, queues, phone numbers, and custom contact attributes based on business needs.

  • Develop Lambda functions (in JavaScript or C#) to support dynamic call routing, backend operations, and API-based integrations.

  • Create serverless solutions using AWS Lambda for data processing, database operations, and business logic execution within contact flows.

  • Integrate AWS Connect with services such as DynamoDB, S3, Lex, and other AWS tools to enhance performance and capabilities.

  • Set up and manage AWS API Gateway for exposing Lambda functions via RESTful APIs, including authentication, rate-limiting, and security configurations.

  • Monitor system performance using AWS CloudWatch; identify and implement optimizations for call flows, routing strategies, and scalability.

  • Document technical designs, code, deployment steps, and best practices to ensure repeatable and secure implementations.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deploy solutions.

  • Provide troubleshooting support and continuous improvements for AWS Connect infrastructure and custom Contact Control Panels (CCPs).

  • Stay up to date with the latest AWS Connect best practices, tools, and industry trends.

Required Skills for the Staff AWS Connect Developer:
  • 6+ years of experience in AWS Connect design, development, and implementation.

  • Deep expertise in AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Java, or React.

  • Experience with IVR systems, telephony integrations, and advanced contact routing strategies.

  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices architectures.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to debug complex cloud systems.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Preferred Skills:
