Ensuring accurate and timely accounting for fixed assets related to capital improvements and new store projects
Managing capital expenditure requests (CERs) and monitoring, reporting, and forecasting related spending
Collaborating cross-functionally with finance, real estate, and construction teams on capital expenditures
Supporting the training and development of other fixed asset team members
Reviewing fixed asset related month-end journal entries prepared by Staff Accountants
Preparing capital spend forecasts for management as requested
Required Skills for Senior Accountant:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance role
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced Excel skills required)
Experience with corporate investments and financial analysis
Knowledge of GAAP principles
