Data Engineer – Cloud & BI
Location: Orlando, FL Schedule: OnsiteIDR is seeking a Data Engineer – Cloud & BI to support data pipeline development and business intelligence integration within a cloud-native environment. This role will focus on building scalable data infrastructure using AWS and Snowflake while enabling reporting and analytics through BI tools like Power BI and Tableau. Position Overview / Responsibilities:Design and build robust data pipelines leveraging AWS cloud services and Snowflake
Implement ETL/ELT workflows using Python and SQL to support analytics initiatives
Manage data integration and orchestration through AWS tools such as S3, MWAA (Managed Airflow), Lambda, and IAM
Optimize Snowflake performance, schema design, and data loading strategies
Collaborate with BI teams to deliver reliable, accurate data to dashboards and reports
Apply best practices in data governance, security, and compliance
Engage with business users to translate reporting needs into technical solutions
Document data flows and support knowledge transfer within the engineering team
6+ years of data engineering experience in cloud environments (AWS or Azure)
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: S3, Lambda, IAM, and MWAA (Managed Airflow)
3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including design and performance tuning
Proficient in Python for scripting, automation, and data processing workflows
Expert-level SQL skills with solid understanding of data warehousing concepts
Experience using Power BI and/or Tableau for reporting and visualization
Familiarity with data governance and data privacy standards
Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical details to stakeholders
Must be local to Orlando, FL – This is an onsite position
Experience mentoring junior engineers or providing technical leadership
Familiarity with DevOps or CI/CD concepts as applied to data pipelines
Work on modern cloud-based data infrastructure with a growing team
