Our client is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join their engineering team. This individual will be responsible for building and maintaining test automation solutions across APIs, backend services, and web applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA automation, programming, and continuous integration practices, with hands-on experience in cloud-based environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web UI and backend APIs
Create and execute automated test cases using tools such as Selenium, Rest Assured, and ReadyAPI
Perform functional, regression, and performance testing on REST APIs and microservices
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams in a fast-paced Agile environment
Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, Git, and Maven
Validate backend data with SQL and NoSQL database queries
Utilize Swagger and Postman to test and validate API endpoints and documentation
Identify, document, and escalate defects, and provide feedback to improve product quality
Contribute to BDD test development using Cucumber and Gherkin
Automated Testing Tools: Selenium, Rest Assured, ReadyAPI, Postman
API & Backend Testing: REST APIs, Swagger, Kafka, JSON
Programming & Scripting: Java, Groovy, SQL
DevOps & CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, Docker, Git, Bamboo, Maven
Cloud Platforms: AWS and microservices architecture
5+ years of experience in QA automation or SDET roles
Proven ability to design and implement automated testing for UI and APIs
Strong programming experience in Java; knowledge of TestNG or JUnit
Experience with Agile development processes and DevOps workflows
Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or BlazeMeter (a plus)
Exposure to front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is beneficial
