Description: The candidate will only be performing Dexa exams.
Job Duties:
-
Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patient and team, utilizing ALARA principles.

Perform related administrative duties such as completing forms, labeling areas and maintaining logs. Including completing patients information in software systems.

Adhere to policies and procedures, infection control guidelines and demonstrate competence of the 10-day rule (pregnancy clearance).

Ability to work independently and accurately complete images in a timely manner.

Work closely with radiologist to assure quality and limit repeat procedures.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

Verify patients’ identity and confirm order based on physician’s prescription

Take radiographic images in all required angels and positions based on standard practice for the bone density procedure.

Ability to explain and assist patient in positioning for images accordingly, including lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.

Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specifications of examination and established protocols .

Comply with clinical accreditation requirements and submission deadlines.
Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8am to 4pm
*We have a tech that is doing the late nights and Saturdays. If this tech is not available, we will ask the new candidate to cover the hours and most likely it will be overtime.

Minimum Requirements

Some experience performing DEXA scans

Associates Degree in Radiology Technology (they will have this if they are licensed through the state)

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Verify Credentials - ARRT
