They are looking to recruit 6 x Sheet Metal Workers on a 3-month minimum contract for its site in Essex.      The Sheet Metal Worker role comes with a competitive hourly rate.       Key skills required for the Sheet Metal Worker role   
  • Required to carry out boiler cladding works
  • Must be able to work with trapezoidal and flat sheet metal
  • Able to perform various finishing tasks such as corners and hatches

  • Support the Project Information Manager and BIM Manager with a robust digital framework.
  • Implement rigorous quality assurance procedures and coordination workflows throughout project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the application of the BIM Execution Plan and the Information Management Plan. 
  • Assist in review and help implement proper element and parameter naming on the model and prepare asset data procedures.
  • Help to prepare and apply model quality assurance template report, IDS and apply clash report templates. 
  • Help to implement model quality assurance.
  • Must have experience in performing model audits and quality reports.
  • Must have advanced experience of Autodesk Revit, Blender/Blender BI, and Navisworks

  • Have regard for the contract procedures requiring formal notices, time limits and other parameters.
  • Ensure that the Project Team is fully aware of the prevalent constraints, conditions and contractual environment.
  • Ensure that proper mechanisms for risk transfer to subcontractors and insurance providers are identified and enforced.
  • Always protect the contractual position, enforcing the notification regime of the Contract. This is an NEC IChem E hybrid contract in the water industry including Compensation event management.
  • Prepare submissions for Contractual Claims / Compensation events and other contractually allowable relevant events.
  • Fully monitor and report exposure to Liquidated Damages.

  • Fabricate and fit sheet metal cladding
  • Use abrasive wheels and power tools safely to cut and shape cladding materials
  • Work at height using appropriate access equipment in accordance with safety standards
  •  Adhere strictly to health & safety protocols, including proper use of PPE
  • Collaborate with site teams to meet deadlines and maintain project efficiency
