  • Serve as a Qualified Person according to ACOP and national Good Practice Guides (NGPGs).

Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:  
  • Educated to a minimum of Level 5 (Foundation Degree or HND) and preferably Level 6 (University Degree) in a science based subject
  • Nuclear Instrumentation Calibration Course (NICC HMS Sultan) qualified or equivalent would be advantageous
  • At least 2 years relevant previous experience of working in Radiation Metrology
  • Programming experience, ideally linked to database applications would be advantageous
  • UK driving licence

Responsibilities include:

  • Installation and commissioning of instrumentation
  • Electrical inspection and testing
  • Completion of electrical test certificates
  • Carry out diagnostics and problem solving for electrical and instrument systems
  • Calibration of instrumented systems
  • Acceptance and hand-back of PTWs
  • Performing all assigned tasks to agreed Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards and demonstrate a commitment to attaining high levels of HSE performance

 

You will need to possess experience of electrical installations and a sound knowledge control systems and process instrumentation.
