The O&M division supports the New Energy Team, which is on the shift from a world powered by finite resources to a new energy world powered by renewables while generating sustainable long-term returns. The team invests in the rapidly changing energy landscape, despite regulatory uncertainty and complex risks. ? Investments are focused on four transformative technologies: solar, wind, energy storage and electric transportation. Returns are supported by solid asset backing, a sustainable income yield and the potential for capital growth. The O&M Engineers are critical operational role that will provide first-hand experience of the rapid and extensive changes occurring in the UK energy market. There is excellent scope for personal and professional development in this evolving environment and within the specialist alternative asset management environment within the Gresham House O&M division. Key responsibilities / accountabilities • To be responsible for a team of one or two engineers and organise their weekly priorities. • To be responsible for the availability and PM achieved to the designated portfolio. • Supervise HV works from different subcontractors. • Acting as Controller engineer (HV) • To help the GH O&M team to achieve high HSQE standards across our portfolio, working closely with HSE Manager. • Deliver all the Preventative Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance on the allocated portfolio including HV maintenance. • Complete Site Inspections across the portfolio as required. • Provide reports after each inspection on site (Monthly or reactive) • Use SCADA to monitor the health of the BESS assets under management. • To help other teams when required • Direct supervision of various works, including overseeing contractors as required. • Performance report submitted and presented to the Asset Management team every month. • Understand failures and propose solutions to existing problems affecting availability. • Site visits, HSE inductions, and interactions with Technical Advisers. • Weekend rota | Emergency attendance (paid on top of the salary) • Weekend monitoring (One every seven weekends) • Supervise PAC / IAC & FAC processes. Skills & experience ? Ideally, five years of experience as a Site Manager or Team Leader in the renewable energy industry. (Solar and BESS) ? Trained in SMA inverters will be desirable. ? Fully qualified electrician (AM2, 18th edition, 2391) with Solar experience ? Experience with Microsoft Office and IAuditor is required. ? Experience with BESS systems is desirable but not essential. ? Knowledge and Experience with Diesel/Gas engines is desirable but not essential. Personal attributes ? Our client is looking for a Quality inspector to ensure the high level of quality standards are maintained and in accordance with the relevant requirements for a Nuclear Power Station.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance to quality management systems, policies and procedures to assure compliance to ISO 9001 standards
  • Liaising with internal and external customers on quality concerns
  • Coordinating monthly review and reporting of progress against quality improvement plans
  • Monitoring sub-contractors and inspection activities
  • Undertaking project work on topics including, quality plan, procedure writing, problem solving, investigation reporting, audit and governance programmes
  • Keeping measurement equipment in working condition by following operating instructions
  • Exchanging with the client quality inspector
  • Dealing with document inspection results

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • Sound welding knowledge
  • Experience of developing and implementing processes and procedures
  • A good understanding of FIDIC and or NEC3 contracts.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector
  • CSWIP Level 2 Welding Inspection
