Roles & Responsibilities

As the Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Selection of electrical/electronic hardware for design in accordance with customer requirements, including MoD, involving liaison with suppliers.
  • Engineering design & production of documentation for hardware and software control systems.  The design to fully comply with our client and/or the customer’s requirements.
  • Development of automation and control software that will be installed on process plants to fully comply with our client and/or the customer’s requirements.

This plant can produce up to 45MW of Power by processing up to 550,000 tonnes of waste per year, usually destined for landfill.   As an EC&I Technician you’ll be responsible for all reactive & preventative maintenance across a variety of critical equipment including DCS/SCADA Systems, PLC’s, drives, motors, switchgear etc. This is a permanent position which is offering a competitive starting salary of up to £55,000 depending on experience, plus bonus, overtime, call out payments & benefits package.                   Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the EC&I Maintenance Team Leader, as an EC&I Technician you will be responsible for:
  • Pre-planned and reactive maintenance duties on all electrical, controls and instrumentation assets across the power station

Introduction

We are currently recruiting for an experienced on-site Industrial Services Manager to join one of the leading Waste Management specialists working within the Hazardous Waste sector across the UK. They are looking for an Industrial Services Manager to join their established team at their facility in Paisley, to support their hazardous waste treatment operations and industrial cleaning services to a number of clients across the north. This will be managing the daily running of its industrial service teams both on-site and off-site.

 

The Role

Working as the Industrial Services Manager, you will be responsible for delivering ongoing performance of the industrial service operations, including:
  • Daily management of the industrial services team, ensuring all work is completed in line with customer requirements., contract agreements and business processes.
  • Managing the safe, compliant and commercially sound day to day running of a busy industrial services team, driving operations in line with regulations, permits and operating licenses.
  • Managing performance and growth in line with company targets, ensuring customer service excellence is always achieved.
  • Monitoring resource plans against predicted workloads, projects and commercial requirements. Ensuring the team achieves against business plans and budgets.
  • Continued development of the industrial services operations, building growth strategies in line with sales activity and projected work.
  • Market knowledge on competitor developments in relation to technologies, projects, equipment and trends.
  • Hands-on involvement where required to support the jetting team and services team both at Paisley and across 3rd party sites.

The Candidate

To be considered for this position, candidates must have previous operations management experience working within the Industrial Services or Hazardous Waste industry, with strong knowledge of the Industrial Services sector.

Candidates should have demonstrable success developing industrial service solutions and have an in-depth understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance, ideally holding an IOSH or NEBOSH certification.

Candidates will ideally be UHPWJ / HPWJ certified or have a good understanding of high-pressure water jetting services.

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have a flexible attitude to work.
