Stock Control Chemist Hazardous Waste West Bromwich £25,000- £27,000 DOE   Introduction We are currently seeking a qualified Stock Control Chemist to work with one of the UK’s leading waste management service providers who focus on the disposal and collection of hazardous waste. Working as their Stock Control Chemist, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations across the waste facility ensuring all waste is managed, labelled and recorded correctly to ensure safe and compliance waste processing at all times.   The Role Working as their Senior Site Chemist, you will be responsible for:
  • Supporting the chemist team, ensuring materials coming onto and off-site are consistently safe and are compliant in-line with site permits and environmental regulations.
  • Compiling lists of wastes’ to be transferred off site to third party disposal points and ensuring all waste is labelled appropriately.
  • Carrying out all stock control duties within the site, managing levels of waste on site and reporting these regularly to the management team.
  • Assisting with non- conformance procedures for any unlabelled or incorrect waste materials, utilising appropriate systems to manage non-compliances.
  • Ensuring the operation of a hazardous waste transfer station is able to receive and dispatch loads making sure environmental compliance is abided to.
  • Work to meet site and laboratory targets for processing.
  • Ensuring house-keeping requirements are maintained and continuous improvement programmes supported.
  • Undertake all administration tasks as needed and any other tasks.  
The Candidate To be considered for this position, candidates must have an appropriate science qualification to degree level as well as experience working within an administration or stock control environment. This role will require you to work in a hands-on operational capacity on an industrial site, please only apply if this is of interest. Mechanical Supervisor

Astute's Power team are currently recruiting for 2 Mechanical Supervisors to oversee 2 25MW Solar farms in Torino and Ancona, Italy for a large-scale global EPC Contractor. The duration of the contracts is 5 months with a possible extension if work is not completed on time.

The Mechanical Supervisor positions come with a day rate from €400.00 to €500.00 per day. The role can either be via the EOR or AOR route. Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:  
  • Oversee and supervise the full mechanical scope of works across two 25MW solar PV projects located in Ancona and Torino, Italy.

  • Act as the primary mechanical representative for the EPC contractor on site, ensuring works are delivered to specification, on time, and within budget.

  • Supervise and coordinate mechanical subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of works.

  • Monitor installation quality of mechanical components, including mounting structures, racking systems, and associated plant equipment.

  • Ensure all mechanical activities comply with project drawings, technical standards, and contractual requirements.

  • Implement and maintain site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in line with company and client policies.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews, identifying and resolving any mechanical issues or risks.

  • Coordinate closely with electrical, civil, and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of all disciplines.

  • Maintain accurate site documentation, including method statements, risk assessments, inspection records, and progress reports.

  • Conduct, manage and plan quality inspections.
  • Champion quality assurance and inspection processes, producing clear and accurate reports covering quality approval, construction progress, non-conformances, defect resolution, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with the site construction team, clients site-based quality and construction teams to ensure inspections, approvals, and documentation are fully compliant with project based and statutory requirements.
  • Support, monitor and promote compliance with the company’s and project requirements.
