  Astute’s Team is exclusively partnered with a business in the anaerobic digestion sector who are looking for a contractor to assist on an upgrade project on a biogas site. The contract Construction Manager / Site Manager will oversee the implementation of a new CO2 project and upgrade. Please reach out if you’re experienced in completing similar projects in the anaerobic digestion sector and have been a Construction Manager of an anaerobic digestion CAPEX, OPEX or new build project before.                 Responsibilities and duties of the Construction Manager role Reporting to key stakeholders you will:  
  • Ensure the timely and proper completion of a CO2 upgrade on an AD plant
  • Manage external contractors to complete their works as per plan, contractual obligation and to quality standards
  • Oversee HSE of external contractors, reporting on any issues
  • Control key elements of the project
  • Provide oversight and strategic direction of the implementation of the new technology on site
Professional qualifications   We are looking for someone with the following:  
  • Experience managing anaerobic digestion capital projects (or in a very similar environment if not AD)
  • Demonstrable experience in successful construction / project completion

Roles & Responsibilities

As the

Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Responsible for writing technical quality documentation e.g. PPAP, PFMA in accordance with the Quality Management System
  • Performing internal process audits, compliance audits & external customer audits
  • Collating and presenting KPI quality data identifying quality trends, risks & non conformances
  • Acting as the first line of defence in relation to contain problems, using a structured approach to identify root cause, recommend countermeasure and corrective actions.
  • Maintain & monitor internal & external quality (customer returns) using a CAPA & 8D processes
  • Identify, quantify & propose product & process improvements

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • ISO9001 / ISO45001 experience
  • Formal Engineering or Quality qualification, minimum HND (required)
  • Fully computer literate and enjoy communicating, report writing and summarising data to present to the team using Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to take the initiative and make sound judgements related to quality
  • Must have a desire to learn and understand our company products to a level of technical detail and appreciate the customer applications and how they influence integration and deployment of our products

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Demolition Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Manage and complete PQQ‘s for tenders. Visit site to establish site constraints etc, that may affect pricing strategy.
  • Responsible for procuring competitive quotations, analysing results, and producing finalisation documents. Explore and present innovative techniques to reduce cost.
  • Consolidate individual contract reports into monthly management accounts, working with finance department
  • Forecast and manage cash flow through submission and agreement of applications and final accounts. Consider/negotiate material/subcontractor costs, and cost allowances.

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or the equivalent is preferable
  • Knowledge of relevant demolition (or construction, with a view to developing demolition) health and safety policies and procedures
  • Estimator/QS experience
  • Must possess excellent organisational skills, meeting deadlines, plan and prioritise workloads
  • Prepare commercial reports including Cost Value Reconciliations and cash flows
  • Experience with pricing and winning work as an Estimator/Bid Manager is desirable

  • Experience operating under formal safety rules and permit to work systems
