• Supporting the commercial team, ensuring all customer enquiries are dealt with efficiently, achieving a high standard of customer care with both new and existing customers.
• Obtaining all relevant information surrounding incoming enquiries to support with pricing, allocation and routing of waste materials.

• Ensuring accurate costings in line with all permit conditions and legislation, using Quick Consign systems to produce accurate quotes for customers.
• Work to meet site targets for processing, producing monthly reports for key accounts.
• Promoting the business within the waste management market, recognising new business opportunities.  
• Undertake all administration tasks as needed and any other tasks.

The Candidate To be considered for this position, candidates must have an appropriate chemistry qualification to degree level or equivalent experience. We are looking for a motivated Electrical Technician to join the maintenance department of this plant. The technician responsible for pre-planned and reactive maintenance work around the site to ensure minimal downtime.

Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Electrical Engineer, as the Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Fault-finding and maintaining electrical assets including motors, switchgear, transformers and HV plant
• Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practices
• Undertaking/assisting in plant developments/ projects
• Contract management and supervising contractors
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records together with work scheduling on the sites CMMS
• Ensuring HSE compliance at all times

Skills & Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:

• HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Experience maintaining electrical assets including motors, switchgear, transformers, HV plant etc. in a heavy process environment. This could be a power station, petrochemical site, refinery, steel works etc.

The SAP role comes with a day rate of £600.00.             Key skills  

• Implement procedures to ensure Safety from the System and from the test equipment as dictated by the test programme and consulting, as necessary, with Control Persons of other Systems to agree any actions which may be required to maintain Safety from the System.
• Correctly implementing specified procedures for releasing Plant and Apparatus for work or testing and for ensuring that all safety precautions which achieve Safety from the System are in place.
• Obtain the agreement of the Control Person to the release of Plant and Apparatus.
• Confirm through the Control Person that safety precautions at remote locations are complete.
• Check with the Control Person to confirm that the safety precautions which have been taken are suitable and sufficient for the work or testing to be done.
• Instruct Authorised Persons to carry out the necessary operations to establish safety precautions which achieve Safety from the System.

• Demonstrate leadership and commitment to Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW).
• Actively encourages and lead contractor teams to implement and comply with project HSW requirements.
• Ensures that all relevant HSW requirements are incorporated into area of responsibility and that, in consultation with site management and HSW team.
• Act as the principal contact in the co-ordination of all scaffolding equipment on site. Chair co-ordination meetings between the various contractors on site to ensure the minimum hindrance to the construction work.
• Ensure all scaffolding operations are planned, organised, and undertaken by competent persons. Ensure that the scaffolding equipment is positioned and installed so, as to minimise any risks e. g. from the load falling or striking people.
• Ensure that scaffolding equipment is suitable for the proposed use and is marked with any appropriate information to be taken its safe use into account.
