EPC Design Engineer - Solar

About the role:
Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a market leader in the development, construction and O&M of renewable energy projects to recruit a Design Engineer.
The Design Engineer role comes with a starting salary up to £55,000, KPI based bonus and fully remote working.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will:· Carry out electrical systems design for the electrical installation of Solar and BESS projects.
· Read and review design specification and complete technical drawings to project timelines.
· Provide technical and engineering advice in elation to project challenges.
· Attend project meetings with key stakeholders.
· Support in the winning of projects including tendering, bids, and sales and purchasing.
· Prepare substation layouts, wiring schematics, cable containment solutions and more.
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
· Minimum HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering.
· Experience within the renewables industry especially within Solar or BESS.
· Knowledge of grid connections and applications.
Personal skills:
The Electrical Engineer role would suit someone who is:
· Passionate about renewable energy.
· Thorough and has great attention to detail.
· Good at problem solving especially to a time limit.
· Happy to travel as needed.
