Astute are proudly partnered with a leading company that are a combination of 3 business units: Engineering, Manufacturing and Support, all involved in metal working and design. Our client is looking for a Quality inspector to ensure the high level of quality standards are maintained and in accordance with the relevant requirements for a Nuclear Power Station.

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring compliance to quality management systems, policies and procedures to assure compliance to ISO 9001 standards
• Liaising with internal and external customers on quality concerns
• Coordinating monthly review and reporting of progress against quality improvement plans
• Monitoring sub-contractors and inspection activities
• Undertaking project work on topics including, quality plan, procedure writing, problem solving, investigation reporting, audit and governance programmes
• Keeping measurement equipment in working condition by following operating instructions
• Exchanging with the client quality inspector
• Dealing with document inspection results

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• Sound welding knowledge
• Experience of developing and implementing processes and procedures

• A good understanding of FIDIC and or NEC3 contracts.

• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector
• CSWIP Level 2 Welding Inspection
