  • Develop engineering scope from quotations and customer specifications with consideration to past designs and future development opportunities
  • Support Proposals/Bids with steel target weights, engineering time and concept design
  • Support the business strategy for best practice across all areas of the business, providing leadership, mentoring and guidance to the Structural team
  • Drive continuous improvement strategies with the Head of Engineering and other key stakeholders: process improvement, cost reduction, standardisation of conveyors, assemblies, and parts in a standard parts library
  • Where required provide client facing support on project or technical issues and be available for infrequent travel as required

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Chartered in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Considerable experience in a technical role with experience designing steel structures including towers and gantries
  • Experience in Engineering Management position
  • Experience and sound knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards relating to structural design.

  • Proficient with STAAD and knowledge of Tekla software packages
