• Ensure that all relevant HSEQ requirements are incorporated into area of responsibility and that, in consultation with site management, HSE and commissioning team, HSE hazards are eliminated or mitigated to the extent practicable

POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

The Planner will report to the Sales, Inventory, Operations & Planning Manager & have a collaborative approach working closely across the business with key process partners. This role is important to ensure the integrity of our MRP system, and thus make realistic and achievable plans. This ensures production has the required flow of materials to fulfil sales orders on time and in full to our customers.

Principal Activities

• Schedule supply of components and materials to meet production requirements.
• Ensure the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is accurate and up to date and resolve issues through MRP message management using IFS software
• Schedule and control the supply of components to meet the assembly build plan requirements
• Manage stock levels, assessing and monitoring the volume requirements against planning assumptions and agreed targets
• Maintenance of shop order and customer order due dates to ensure ERP system integrity
• Carry out actions in relation to material shortages that affect production
• Create and update statistical reports and analysis
• To identify any risks to build and to work proactively to resolve issues with internal and external stakeholders
• Management of buffer stock through demand driven Materials Requirement Planning
• Work with key partners to proactively manage inventory, reducing the risk of aged / obsolete stock
• Product lead time management & critical path lead time analysis

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in MS Office particularly Excel – vlookup, pivot tables etc

Education & Experience

• Exposure to manufacturing, planning, MRP, ERP, factory office environment. IFS experience desirable.

• Oversee electrical site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, programme, budget and contractual requirements.
• Take responsibility for HSEQ performance within the area of responsibility, ensuring all relevant HSEQ requirements are implemented and complied with. Review RAMS, identify and mitigate hazards, monitor safe working practices and stop work where safety may be compromised.
• Coordinate electrical contractors, subcontractors and consortium partners, ensuring effective planning, execution and coordination of installation works.
• Oversee electrical installation, testing and completion activities, including planning and implementing installation testing procedures and ensuring compliance with relevant national and international technical standards. Follow up contractor performance, deviations, claims, change requests and the timely closure of punch-list items.
• Support successful project delivery and continuous improvement, proactively contributing to project objectives, providing technical and operational input, sharing knowledge with colleagues and specialist departments, and capturing lessons learned for current and future projects.
• Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders and provide clear, solution-focused leadership on site.
• Must have relevant electrical engineering qualifications and site supervision.
• Must have proven experience as an Electrical Site Supervisor or Supervisor on a large-scale industrial project i.e. within Renewable Gas, AD (Anaerobic digestion), EFW or power generation.
