Introduction…

We are recruiting for an Electrical Field Service Engineer to join a company who provide maintenance solutions and technical support to large process plants including Power Stations, CHP Plants, Petrochemical and Aggregate Production Facilities. The role involves travelling to various sites in the Essex and East London area and providing technical support on the maintenance and overhaul of equipment

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Electrical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • The maintenance, repair and overhaul on a variety equipment such as; Motors, Control Panels, Actuators, Transformers, Conveyors and Generators, etc
  • Ensuring the maintenance reports and logs are kept up to date
  • Ensuring maintenance activities are carried out within defined budgets
  • Diagnosing and fault finding of electrical problems
  • Ensuring compliance to all health & safety & legal requirements
  • Representing the company in a professional manner
  • Working as part of a call out rota

 

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:
  • City & Guilds/ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline
  • CompEx trained would be highly desirable
  • Servicing and Maintenance experience within similar heavy process industries such as Power Generation, Steel, Cement Works, Paper Mill etc.
  • Experience and knowledge of HV systems would be beneficial

Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading Waste Management company to recruit a Commercial Manager within their Aggregates Division. The Commercial Manager position comes with a highly competitive salary up to £55,000 (DOE) plus a Car Allowance of £6,900 and a bonus up to 25%.   If you have a strong commercial and sales background, aggregate industry experience and looking for a new opportunity then apply for this role. Responsibilities and duties of the Commercial Manager role Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • To manage and develop all the commercial elements of the multiple site Quarries business.
  • Identify develop & maintain key accounts including new business opportunities.
  • Responsible for all quotations, tenders, pricing and customer service.
  • Monitor haulage contractor's performance via KPls and ensure competitiveness.
  • Liaise with site staff on major civil engineering schemes, to ensure production matches product program requirements on site.
  • Arrange product compliance testing.
  • Work alongside Credit Control to manage credit limits, invoices and purchase orders.
  • Other duties as specified in the job specification (available at request).
Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:
  • Relevant finance / commercial qualification such as CIPS / RICS or appropriate NEC / JCT training
Personal skills The Commercial Manager role would suit someone who has:
  • Existing experience within the Quarrying / Aggregate sector
  • At least five years experience working in a Sales or Commercial Management position or similar
  • Worked with inert waste acceptance would be highly desirable
