  • Routine maintenance activities on monitoring and communication equipment.

Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Certification or equivalent.
  • At least five years’ experience in industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Previous Solar PV maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of DC electrical systems, high-voltage equipment, and occupational health & safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.

The Senior/Principal Instrument Engineer role comes with an hourly rate of up to £60 per hour depending on experience.                   Key skills  
  • Engineering degree relevant to Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years engineering experience.

  • Overall accountability for QHSE within the service area, ensuring full compliance with internal standards and external regulations, and acting as a visible role model for safety and quality.
  • Full responsibility for operational performance, ensuring optimal availability and reliability of wind turbine generators across the service area.
  • Ownership of financial and commercial performance, including budget planning, cost control, and delivery against agreed targets.

  • Proven leadership experience within the wind industry or a comparable technical sector.
  • Completed apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience in Mechanical or Electrical engineering would be preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of commercial and financial controls, with experience managing budgets, KPIs, and overall financial performance.
  • Demonstrated experience managing remote, field-based teams.
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to oversee the full spectrum of team performance, development, and engagement
  • Must hold Driving Licence
