Responsibilities and duties of the Flood Risk & Drainage Consultant role

Reporting to the Water Services Lead, you will:

  • Prepare Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and other planning support documents

  • Contribute to SuDS design and prepare technical drawings and drainage plans

  • Assist with due diligence reviews for investors and developers, offering practical risk mitigation advice

  • Analyse and present spatial data using GIS tools (e.g., QGIS)

  • Collaborate with planning and environmental teams across the business

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • A degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or a similar field (or equivalent experience)

  • Around 2–4 years of experience in flood risk or drainage consultancy

  • Familiarity with UK planning policy, SuDS principles, and relevant environmental legislation

We are recruiting for an Electrical Technician with experience within the Nuclear sector for a role on a busy site in Berkshire.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Installation and commissioning of instrumentation
  • Electrical inspection and testing
  • Completion of electrical test certificates
  • Carry out diagnostics and problem solving for electrical and instrument systems
  • Calibration of instrumented systems
  • Acceptance and hand-back of PTWs
  • Performing all assigned tasks to agreed Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards and demonstrate a commitment to attaining high levels of HSE performance

 

You will need to possess experience of electrical installations and a sound knowledge control systems and process instrumentation.

  • A proven track record of delivering to set deadlines within an electrical, control and instrumentation team
