Aaron came to me with a job opportunity that has so far gone well. Aaron has supported me with questions, mediation between myself and the employers and has also helped me to push for the desired wage I have requested. Overall a great representative and goes along way to support myself as a client. Top notch!
He first took the initiative in approaching me about another role months ago. It wasn’t a good enough match for my needs. When he contacted me about this role, I was surprised to hear from him and more surprised by some of the details he had remembered about me. He has a positive, engaging style and the flow of the discussions always left me with the impression that he had actively listened to my responses. There were only a few occasions when I had to correct his what he was feeding back to me during our discussions. He was mostly very quick to respond however we did have a few challenges connecting with each other sometimes out of ‘normal’ office hours. I think I had too many numbers and may not have been using the right one at the right time.
He was generous with his advice and support on the client, the process and the best way to approach the interviews/discussion with the client. He was obviously persuasive with the client in terms of setting up interviews around my unavoidable, immovable commitments. He was cautious about the client’s willingness to flex the package on minimum salary so much so that I thought there was no chance. I was surprised when he came back and advised that this wasn’t an issue - I wonder if he learned something about his client from that? Maybe the Astute review covers lessons from campaigns?
He has shown patience, resilience and determination. His interpersonal skills, particularly his attention to remembering small personal details and willingness to offer advice and support inspired confidence. We are at the stage where the rest of the negotiation on the package is best done between me and the client. I’ve got no experience in this part of the process and whilst it’s right that the conversation is between us, I would have liked more sense of where to pitch a reasonable but beneficial opening request. I realise this is tricky because the client is looking for a consultant that provides value. I have already said to R that if this doesn’t work out, I’d happily work with him as a candidate in future. He’s exceeded my experience of working with consultants in the past 6 years.
Kelsey Nineham reached out to me on LinkedIn about the role of a Project Development Engineer at Veolia.
She has been fantastic and supportive throughout the process by securing a first-stage interview date with the potential employer whilst discussing the key requirements for the role including pitfalls of candidates previously interviewed by the recruiter.
Kelsey is thorough. She called a day before my interview to ensure I was ready and shared her knowledge of the role including the difference between MRF and ERF, which made me look further into the topics. She is also very thoughful, which is demonstarted by her messages on the day of the interview.
An area of improvement is for her to evaluate the candidates and ensure the advice given are approrpiate. For example, an individual who has worked in the UK for over 10 years does not need to be reminded to dress formally to an interview.
Overall, Kelsey is a great individual and I wish her all the best in her role.
Rob was very good, he followed up as soon as he could with feedback from the company and the interviews I had. Very pleasant to deal with and would certainly recommend to deal with him in future.
