Arjun Patel

Arjun joined Astute in 2017 as a Recruitment Partner. In 2020, Arjun was promoted to Senior Recruitment Partner and again in 2022 to Principal Recruitment Partner. Arjun works in Astute’s Power team, recruiting Permanent and Contract roles such as Plant Managers, Operations Managers, Engineering Managers, Shift Team Leaders, Shift Operations Technicians, Maintenance Engineers and Maintenance Technicians for leading businesses in the Energy from Waste, Biomass, CHP, CCGT and OCGT sectors.

Arjun has a BA (Hons) in Business Management from Loughborough University, graduating in 2015. He also has a CertRP which he completed while at Astute. Outside of work, Arjun likes to travel the world, and is known in the office as ‘Mr Worldwide’. If not on holiday, he will either be at home binging a TV show, out socialising with friends and family or he will be on the golf course working hard to go a whole round without 3-putting a hole.

Why I love to recruit
Firstly, no 2 days are ever the same in recruitment which is particularly appealing to me as the role is never really 'repetitive'. Being able to build and maintain strong relationships through networking with both candidates and clients within the industry is a very satisfying feeling. Especially when you are being asked for advise about what my thoughts on the market are as this leaves me with a self satisfaction that others can rely on me for information/advise.

When I'm not working I like to
If its not raining you can usually catch me on the golf course or on the cricket pitch during the summer months. If you are a golf player yourself, then I will be more than happy to arrange a round as I have done this with candidates and clients before.
