Some more brief responsibilities of an Operations Engineer are:
To develop and maintain good working relationships with customers.
Provide service, chemical treatment analysis, monitoring and account management to existing customers/contracts.
Provide Legionella control and ensure customer compliance with ACOP L8.
Provide customer recommendations for best working practices.
Gather information in preparation for client review meetings.
Review site water services risk assessment.
Gather site information and compile site log-books for customers, maintain and audit.
Initiate water treatment program on new accounts and commission new dosing/control installations.
Completion of risk assessments, work reports, and all other documentation.
Look for opportunities and where appropriate to sell parts, consumables, plant upgrades and refurbishment work, working with the appropriate sales team.
Feedback to customers on future product development, features and functions and show how they will add value to their business.
Provide updates to line manager on any issues that may result in financial, reputational or operational impact on the Company, seek guidance and support as required to ensure the service provided to our customers is a priority.
General requirements for the role:
A HNC or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or Chemistry qualification or similar or qualified by experience.
GCSE or equivalent – English and Maths.
A full UK driving license is required.
Excellent time management skills.
Candidates must have knowledge and experience in chemical water treatment e.g. cooling tower management, and boiler optimisation.
Experience of having worked as an Operations/Service Engineer or in a Technical Support role or laboratory experience.
Passionate about providing a first-class service to our customers.
Able to handle challenging conversations with customers and find a resolution.
Strong communication skills both verbally and written, with the versatility to communicate at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrable experience of having built strong working relationships both internally and externally.
A good level of IT competency.
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail.
Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.

As such, they are looking for a strong and experienced MBT Supervisor to join their Mechanical Biological Treatment centre and MRF in Glasgow. This role will see you overseeing a team of experienced operators across the waste processing facility.

The Candidate
To be considered for this position, candidates should have previous experience working in a Supervisor/ Management role supervising a team in a busy production / process environment.
Previous knowledge and experience covering Waste processing or production/industrial process heavy sectors related to the Waste Management industry such as FMCG, manufacturing, aggregates, water treatment or renewable energy.
Candidates should have excellent knowledge of current Health and Safety procedures as well as demonstrable background implementing these across a complex team and should be able to communicate across all levels successfully. An IOSH certificate would be beneficial.

The HPC Commissioning Team is growing as part of its preparation to commission the first nuclear power station to be built in a generation at Hinkley Point C (HPC). We are seeking an experienced senior commissioning engineer to form part of an expanding team and contribute their knowledge and skills to be a core part of one of the nation’s key infrastructure projects. The owner of the position will oversee the preparation and delivery of the commissioning of the NI Process Systems, with a specific focus on waste systems.Nature and Scope
The Senior Commissioning Engineer’s role will evolve during the lifecycle of the project and combine technical knowledge with project delivery skills. At the early stages you will contribute to detailed planning and preparation. Following this, you will execute commissioning tests as part of a team and analyse the results to justify the readiness of the HPC units to safely enter commercial operation. The HPC commissioning team will be working with the Responsible Designer and the project’s contract partners to provide a suite of commissioning documentation combining technical test programmes with supporting safety justifications to influence and form part of the HPC Commissioning Arrangements. Building successful collaborative relationships with designers, contractors, the HPC project delivery team, site engineering and the plant operational organisation will be critical to ensuring that the interfaces with the commissioning process are properly defined and controlled.Principal Accountabilities
