As discussed, did NOT care for meeting in St. Charles. Preference is Chicago or an actual city, not suburbs.
Although an email was sent about leaving early, folks in the group had to make flight. Whoever presents on the 2nd day doesn't get full impact of the group. This has been consistent since i have been in the group.

About
RoundTable Program:
Great events in general - love the networking and hearing about industry trends and best practices. The information from Tom and our table facilitator are almost always on point and valuable. While I appreciate the individual presentations and discussion from each company, the range of issues from pretty basic, to quite complex generates intense interest in some discussion, while other issues are really pretty basic and intuitive. That is probably just the nature of the Owner-operator sized market, but, at the risk of sounding arrogant (which is not my intent) I find some of the conversations to be of greater value than many of the other ones. I would suggest rather than individual company presentations, perhaps these sessions could focus on one or two key issues and then have a SME provide coaching or insights.
When I travel for roundtables I enjoy the experience of being in an interesting and fun location. That includes Chicago, Las Vegas, Tampa and La Jolla to name a few. I do not want to take time away from my family and business and travel to locations such as St Charles and Aurora (the Denver, Colorado meeting which was not in Denver but would have been amazing if so - at least we went into Denver).
Eating cafeteria food and being in a location built for interns and corporate retreats was not preferable. I am not sure that I would return to St Charles.
