Our non-profit client in the Oak Brook area is looking for a Travel Planning Assistant on their team. This temp to hire position includes a hybrid schedule. This position is primarily responsible for assisting the organization with arranging travel for speakers and team members for various international events.
Responsibilities-
- Prepare monthly reports for executive officer review.
- Assists with speaker mileage reports
- Researches and compares travel itineraries to make appropriate decisions to prepare and distribute travel arrangements and schedules
- Supports team with calendar management, expense reporting, trip kits and destination travel books.
- Respond to travel related questions regarding travel policy adherence and procedures and serve as go to person for travel related issues.
- Organizes e-mail and telephone correspondence and tracks travel for the department.
- Assist with staff travel requisitions and coordinates translation requests.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of related experience in an administrative assistance role
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Experience with arranging travel
