As a Utility Ground Crew Laborer, you’ll play a crucial role assisting field technicians with underground fiber installation and site preparation. This is a physical, hands-on position that offers opportunity for growth in the booming telecommunications industry.

What You'll Do

As a Utility Ground Crew Laborer, you will be responsible for: • Digging ditches and assisting with underground fiber installation to ensure reliable internet connectivity. • Going into customers’ homes and working on their property to facilitate service setup. • Pulling reels and assisting technicians with equipment setup and deployment. • Shoveling gravel and preparing work areas for fiber installation projects. • Raising lightweight measuring sticks and reading measurements to aid in precise installation. • Recording measurements and details provided by field technicians for documentation. • Driving a company vehicle to transport team members or equipment between job sites. • Assisting the crew with daily tasks to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have: • Previous experience working with underground equipment or in a construction/utility environment (a significant plus). • High energy and a strong work ethic to thrive in a physically demanding role. • A team-player mindset and willingness to assist wherever needed. • Ability to lift and maneuver 50+ lbs consistently throughout the workday. • Reliability and punctuality to maintain project schedules. • Comfortable performing bending, pushing, pulling, standing, and kneeling for extended periods. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for on-the-job driving requirements. • Reliable personal vehicle to commute to various job sites. • Willingness to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Location & Schedule
