Pay Rate Range: $27 - $33 per hour DOE
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Assignment Length: Approximately 45 days

Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable professional who enjoys sharing your knowledge with others? We are seeking a Temporary/Contract AR/AP Trainer to join a dynamic organization in Creswell, Oregon for an approximately 45-day assignment.
The primary purpose of this position is to
take on day-to-day AR and AP responsibilities while providing hands-on training and knowledge transfer to existing team members. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is confident working independently in accounting functions and enjoys helping others learn processes and best practices.
What You'll Do
During this 45-day contract assignment, you will:
- Take ownership of day-to-day Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions to ensure financial processes remain accurate, timely, and organized
- Process invoices, purchase orders, payments, cash applications, and other AR/AP transactions
- Perform collections follow-up on past-due accounts via phone, email, or mail
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, pricing errors, missing payments, and other account issues
- Enter journal entries and assist with basic general ledger maintenance
- Complete routine reconciliations for bank statements, credit cards, and other assigned accounts
- Assist with month-end close activities as needed

Train and coach existing team members on AR/AP procedures, systems, workflows, and best practices
- Provide hands-on instruction and demonstrate proper processes for completing daily AR/AP responsibilities
- Help identify process gaps or areas where additional training may be beneficial
- Create or improve process documentation, procedures, and training materials to support a smooth transition
- Work alongside department team members to gradually transition AR/AP responsibilities back to the internal team
- Answer questions and provide guidance to team members throughout the assignment
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and documentation
- Support the accounting department with reporting, data entry, and other administrative duties as needed
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bookkeeping, or general accounting
- Strong understanding of day-to-day AR/AP processes and accounting procedures
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- The ability to work independently while also effectively training and supporting others
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to explain accounting processes clearly and patiently
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Reliability and the ability to work effectively within a small accounting team
Trainer/Transition Experience — Preferred
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
- Training or mentoring accounting staff
- Developing or documenting accounting procedures
- Leading an AR/AP transition or process improvement project
- Helping teams learn new accounting software or workflows
- Supporting department cross-training or knowledge transfer
Nice to Have — Not Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Experience with reconciliations and month-end close
- Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or similar business environment
