As a Material Handler, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, supporting the production team, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. Your daily tasks will keep operations running efficiently and ensure timely delivery of materials to various departments.

What You’ll Do:

• Verify parts against packing slips and crate small bundles at the crib table to ensure accuracy.
• Unload vendor trucks by forklift after obtaining necessary certification, while maintaining safety standards.
• Inspect incoming materials for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet company specifications.
• Distribute materials to designated locations within the yard and facility to support production workflows.
• Remove dunnage, debris, and excess packaging from shipments to maintain a clean work environment.
• Compare shipment contents with records to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Build custom wooden shipping pallets and crates for small finished goods, supporting logistics.
• Kit materials for distribution to the shop and other manufacturing facilities to streamline operations.
• Prepare finished goods for customer shipment through precise kitting.
• Deliver part kits to and from designated work areas efficiently.
• Operate forklifts safely and effectively to move materials weighing up to 10,000 lbs.
• Organize inventory and work-in-process materials within the storage yard and throughout the facility.
• Support a safe, clean, and well-organized outdoor work environment to promote workplace safety.

What You’ll Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of recent forklift experience (required).
• Receiving or warehouse experience (preferred).
• Ability to read tape measures and basic blueprints to assist in accurate material handling.
• Ability to comprehend invoices, receipts, packing slips, and material orders for accuracy.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and work outdoors on your feet throughout the shift.
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
• Comfort working in varying weather conditions, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
