Duties and Responsibilities for Forklift Operator:
- Extensive Forklift Operation experience required
- Experience moving large beams 80'-110'
- Use of Mid-Sized Hyster 12,000 lb Fortis Turbo Diesel forklift
- Load/unload and transport material to and from machine centers
- Load and unload vans and flat-bed trucks
- Stack/unstack units in designated storage bays
- Outdoors; extreme weather conditions including heat and cold
- Essential Functions
- Visually inspect the forklift for leaks, damaged forks, excessive wear in steering, lift chains, tires and proper operation of brakes
- Check fluid levels and fill to the mark. Utilize proper refueling procedures to safely fuel forklift
- Must be able to concentrate in a noisy environment, deal with frequent interruptions, juggle multiple projects, exercise independent judgment or perform other mental tasks
- Requires employee to bend, twist, squat, sit for long periods of time

Skills and Qualifications for Forklift Operator:
- Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs
- Communicate with co-workers and supervisor effectively.
- Work with and promote a teamwork environment.
- Promote and support a strong safety culture.
- Must be willing to fill-in on off-shift and overtime WHEN required
- Experience with a Hyster 190 or Bigger
- Knowledge of how to carry 20ft or Longer / Understands the counterbalance of the weight of boards.
- Knows how to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferably someone who has worked in a lumber setting.

Monday - Friday
5:00AM - 3:30PM
Pay Rate:
$23.12 per hour DOE
* There WILL be a 30 Day Job-Performance Evaluation to determine if eligible for a .50 Cent Raise at that time.
* There WILL be a 2nd Job Performance Evaluation at 90 Days to determine if eligible for another .50 Cent Raise.
