A leading provider of precision laser cutting, welding, fabrication, and custom construction services located in the heart of Bend is seeking to add a Manufacturing Technician!   • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape metals according to blueprints, drawings or specific instructions
  • Monitor the production process to ensure the accuracy and quality of formed parts, making adjustments as necessary to maintain product specifications
  • Load and unload metal sheets onto the press brake machine, ensuring proper alignment and positioning for accurate bending
  • Install, adjust, and maintain press brake tooling, dies, and fixtures as required for each job
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols while operating machinery, including wearing appropriate PPE and following lockout/tagout procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on press brake machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts. Troubleshoot equipment issues and make minor repairs as needed
  • Record production data, including quantities produced, scrap rates, and any issues encountered during the manufacturing process
  • Coordinate with other team members, including supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel, to ensure efficient workflow and meet production goals
  • Welding skills a plus
Skills and Qualifications for Manufacturing Technician:
  • Previous experience operating press brake machines is preferred but not required; willing to train the right candidate
  • Basic understanding of metal fabrication processes, including welding and metal shop practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy materials
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines and protocols
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Details for Manufacturing Technician:
  • Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm
  • $21.00/hour + DOE
