Selectemp is seeking a dedicated Production Laborer sto join our team and contribute to our manufacturing operations. As a Production Laborer, you will be responsible for executing various tasks essential to the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role requires individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities for Production Labor:

  1. Manufacturing Tasks: Execute manufacturing tasks according to established procedures, including operating machinery, assembling components, and contributing to the production process.

  2. Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of products to identify defects or irregularities, promptly reporting any issues to supervisors or quality control personnel.

  3. Packaging and Labeling: Package finished products accurately, adhering to specifications for labeling, boxing, and palletizing in preparation for shipment.

  4. Material Handling: Assist in the movement of raw materials, components, and finished products within the production area, utilizing manual or mechanical equipment as required.

  5. Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization within the production area, including regular cleaning of machinery, equipment, and workspaces. Report any maintenance needs or equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly.

  6. Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations, actively participating in safety training sessions and following proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and operating machinery.

  7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve production goals, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflow efficiency.

Qualifications for Production Labor:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is advantageous but not required for some positions.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift, bend, and move objects as required.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and recording production data.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.

Working Conditions for Production Labor:

  • Fast-paced production environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Physical demands include standing for most if not all of shift, bending, lifting, and carrying objects of varying weights.
  • Flexibility regarding work schedule to accommodate production demands, including potential overtime and weekend shifts
