  • Using work order systems to document and track maintenance activities.
  • Following and upholding the preventive maintenance program with accurate record-keeping.
  • Keeping the shop area clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.
  • Attending safety meetings and training sessions regularly to stay current with best practices.
  • Identifying worn or defective parts and replacing them efficiently.
  • Troubleshooting motor, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to resolve issues.
  • Performing repairs on forklifts and tractors.
  • Assisting with diagnostics and problem-solving to minimize downtime.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Welding skills - Must be a strong welder/fabricator
  • Prior experience with preventative maintenance and repairs on forklifts and tractors
  • Experience with Millwright skills (id=1000404, name=Millwright)
  • Willingness to learn and understand treating plant operations
  • Ability to identify worn parts and perform effective replacements
  • Strong work ethic with attention to safety, accuracy, and detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and effective communication
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Experience with motor, hydraulic repair, chains, sprockets, shafts, pneumatic valves, and welding techniques
  • Demonstrated reliability and a team-oriented attitude
