Job Title: Paralegal

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00/hour, DOE Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Start Date: ASAP

As a Paralegal, you’ll support attorneys, assist current and prospective clients, organize discovery, prepare for trials, and help ensure the smooth operation of the firm’s daily activities.

What You'll Do

As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for:

• Screening prospective clients and gathering initial information before referring them to attorneys
• Assisting current and new clients both over the phone and in person
• Drafting and filing legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail
• Answering phone calls using a multi-line phone system and providing professional customer service
• Organizing discovery materials and assisting with trial preparation
• Using Microsoft Office and Adobe to prepare, manage, and organize documents
• Maintaining organized case files, schedules, and important deadlines
• Performing other legal and administrative duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Prior paralegal experience required
• A 4-year university degree or significant, proven experience in a high-volume legal practice
• Prior receptionist experience required
• Knowledge of legal principles, practices, and procedures
• Ability to handle and respect confidential client information
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional, approachable demeanor
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage files, schedules, and deadlines
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in legal documentation and processes
• Ability to learn new programs and systems quickly
• A strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
