Pay: $21.00 – $28.00 per hour, DOE Hours: Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM Start Date: 15/12/2025

Looking for a skilled machine operator role in a world-class metal fabrication shop? Join a respected local manufacturer specializing in high-quality contract fabrication as a CNC Laser Operator in Eugene, Oregon, and expand your technical machining skills in a fast-paced environment.

As a CNC Laser Operator, you’ll play a pivotal role in setting up, loading, and operating CNC plasma/oxy-fuel equipment to cut metal parts to precise tolerances. Your work will directly contribute to meeting production goals and maintaining exceptional quality standards across the shop.

What You’ll Do:

As a CNC Laser Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Setting up, loading, adjusting, and operating CNC plasma/oxy-fuel burning machines.
• Producing metal parts with accurate shapes, cuts, and tolerances.
• Selecting job priorities, materials, cutting methods, and appropriate speeds.
• Making machine adjustments and program edits to optimize quality and efficiency.
• Providing feedback and improvement notes to the CNC Programmer.
• Marking all cut products with job order and routing information.
• Handling materials manually or with overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Maintaining a clean, safe workspace and following shop protocols.

What You’ll Bring:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• A minimum of three months of CNC operation or burning experience (preferred).
• Strong reading, math, and dimensional measurement skills.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs and load/unload material from cutting tables.
• Comfort working with overhead cranes, forklifts, and shop machinery.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
